Building a resilient world after Covid19
This month we look at how the recent Coronavirus pandemic is affecting sustainable investing. In the first article, Manuela Mirkos, London-based journalist specialised in international affairs, argues that the crisis strengthens the strategic importance of a more inclusive, resilient and greener economy. Ludo Baynham-Herd, Associate Director of Fleishman Hillard London, goes further and explains why ESG remains a crucial priority both in the short and long-term. In the third article professor Edward B. Barbier, from Colorado State University, warns against the risks of reviving the existing “brown” economy and thus exacerbating irreversible climate change. Finally, we take a look at the framework released by the World Economic Forum to help businesses identify ESG factors for long- term resilience.
