Born in Pordenone (Italy), she graduated in Economics and Management from Ca' Foscari University, Venice. She is Full Professor at the Department of Management (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice), where she teaches "Management Control" and "Strategic Planning and sustainability management”. She is contributing to the sustainability profile of Ca’ Foscari, as Dean Delegate to Environmental Sustainability and Social Responsibility from 2009 to 2014. She is also Director of a couple of outstanding master degrees, the first in ethical company management and the second in "Sustainability and Carbon Footprint".
She is involved at international level in important organizations, where she is member of the board of the PhD on Science and Management of Climate Change (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice); member of the Editorial board and reviewer for “Corporate social responsibility and environmental management” from 2010 and reviewer for several national and international journals.
As a practitioner and as researcher at the same time, she has been involved also as member of WCOA Scientific Committee, International Ifac congress 2014; in 2011 she has been designated as member of Expert Group established by the European Commission, Directorate General Internal Market and Services, Accounting and Financial Reporting.
At european level, she has been (from 2011 until 2014) Deputy Chairman for the Sustainability Group Fee - Federations des Experts Comptables Europeens
Now she is member of the board of directors of listed companies (Eurotech Spa; Zignago Vetro Spa); member of the audit committee of listed company (Danieli e C. SpA) .
She is also chairing the Atlantia Sustainability Committee.
Recently she has been appointed as Chair of the Board of Banca Popolare FriulAdria, (Cariparma Credit agricole Group), being the first woman chairing such a type of bank in Italy.
Author of articles and books about Corporate social responsbility, Perfomance measurement, Sustainability as a strategic perspective in value creation, Integrated reporting, she is active in the international research community.
